Kombucha is a fermented beverage made simply from tea, sugar, water, and a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast. During fermentation, the sugar and tea nutrients are converted into vitamins, enzymes, organic acids and probiotics. The result is a health promoting energy drink that tastes similar to aromatic sparkling cider.
